Kevin Durant to the Warriors…

Honestly, lets just give out the 2017,2018, and probably the 2019 NBA Championships. The winners are… The Golden State Warriors. Yes, the Warriors are at least the NBA Champions for the next 3 years. Today has proved that in today’s NBA the players are so skilled that stars have to go to great teams to secure their legacy with rings. Durant, who spent the past 9 years in Oklahoma City, was seen as a founding father of the Thunder. But Kevin Durant needed rings to be looked at a great. I only believe that he should have went to a team where they were close to greatness but he was the missing piece. Going to the Warriors, a team that did not even need you to be great, it looks like he is desperate. He has been compared to Lebron James when he left Cleveland to play for Miami in 2010, but the two departures are very different. In 2010, James had left a Cavaliers team where he was the team, and moved on to a Heat team who was also not very good even with Dwayne Wade. This move would have been a good comparison today had James left Cleveland and went to the Celtics, a team whom were a thorn in James’ side. But in Durant’s defense he may have getting tired and wanted less of a workload, so he goes to a warrior where his job will be to score and that’s it. The Warriors are a complete team because each player has a job. In Oklahoma City, Durant was the team. He is now going to a team, where he completes a free-flowing team where he will be able to just play ball. Durant’s move to the Warriors is only ridiculed because he is a superstar. If Durant was just okay player or an average role player his move would be great for lots of reason. But now in the top 5 players in the league, the Golden State Warriors have two players wearing their uniform. This years NBA season will be very interesting. I cannot wait.
